Abstract: The review discusses the publication of the Psalter translated in 1552 by Maximus the Greek, assisted by Nil Kurlyatev. The publication was prepared by I. V. Verner. It is based on an interlinear manuscript, with each line of the translation accompanied by a line of the Greek original written in Cyrillic. The reviewer highly appreciates the work of I. V. Verner. However, her conclusion that the interlinear manuscripts were intended to teach Greek and Latin is disputed.

Keywords: Greek, Latin, Psalter, interlinear, handbook, phylactery
