Abstract: Translation of «Faust», the text-thing is becoming an object of strong cultural emotions. The voices of Goethe and Tolstoy, who were born on the same August day, are the most representative in the novel. The novel composition has been influenced by dramaturgy techniques. Theatrical principles allow to take up and continue the topics in the spirit of «anamorphosis». As in an ancient tragedy, there is a choral interlude. «Chorus» consists of a big foundation of works, which was the source of lines and scenic ideas for the characters. The novel ends with throwing a mischievous shadow on the sacred persons. The distance violation takes place within the limits of etiquette. Small liberties in dealing with a high person are a part of universal human desires. The novel is particularly in the need of contextualization. The context is constantly changing, and reminds of the Heraclitus river. The author expects the reader’s sophistication. And this captatio benevolentiae makes readers wait sympathetically.

Keywords: infants and babies, «walking» philosophy, choral song, soviet pastoral, gestural freedom, charm
