Abstract: This article focuses on divination as a component of the cognitive process of narrative text understanding. Meaningful understanding of the movement occurs as the realization of consciousness precession of the whole and its subsequent explication. Divination of events sets the criteria and patterns of meaning reconstructing of the narrative text, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, the cognitive understanding of the text.
