Abstract: The paper analyses the argumentative logic of some authors of literary and political essays (V. Shenderovich, A. Konchalovsky, D. Zubov) to reveal the peculiarities of the linguo-cognitive style of a journalist. Argumentative logic is regarded as a parameter of research and comparison of the journalists’ individual manners of speaking (writing).
