Abstract: The paper is devoted to revealing the structural models of personage nominations in folklore texts of settled Koryaks. The complication of simple nominations occurs at the expense of incorporation and affixation. Revealed in modern folklore texts is a clichéd model: incorporation complex with the gender identifier =ŋav= ‘woman’. This model is being actively used to actualize female characters. The variability of models is achieved by combining a specific set of affixes within a word-form.

Keywords: koryak folklore, alutor language, nomination, personage, word-formation construction
