Abstract: This article is devoted to the interaction of historical narratives and literary texts. We raised some questions of literary interpretation of history in an example of texts are about to the life and death of Nicholas II and his family in Yekaterinburg («The Emperor» V. Mayakovsky, «Poem of the Royal family» M. Tsvetaeva, «From the Twoheaded eagle to the Red flag» P. Krasnov, «The Last Days of the Emperor Nicholas II» P. Severny etc.). The article reveals the role of ideological constructs in interpretations of historical events, some artistic techniques that avoid an unambiguous interpretations.
