Abstract:

The article notes the strengths and weaknesses of the book “Laughter visible to the world”. On the one hand, the book introduces into scientific circulation new texts and literary facts related to laughter and the comic in Russian and European culture. On the other hand, the form of the textbook is not the most successful, and one could write a monograph. The book can be used in the educational process, but it is important not to stop there and formulate an independent concept in a special scientific monograph.
