Abstract: The paper describes cases of the increasing occasional use of the English suffix -ing in the Russian word-formation. The suffix actualizing the observed process-related seme, expands in comparison with the source language expands its word-formation field: the derived words with this suffix can be formed from proper names (Staling), concrete nouns (sardeling) and from phrases (metrobabka-dooring)
