Abstract: The paper suggests prospective trends of linguopersonal research with allowance for the topicality of the problems associated with the complex description of the phenomenon of a speech personality including the search for ways of studying the linguistic identity of a foreign student so as to make a speech portrait of a collective and individual language personality and improve further the present methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
