Abstract: The comparative study experience of the mythological character named Chyzyr Ilyas is put forward. The study is based on various mythological texts and local traditions. Due to studying the general and different features of the given character are distinguished, but an amazing monotony of his functions lets us to suggest that the given feature system unite him in the whole and affords the ground for characterizing him from a new side.
