Abstract: The article studies structural and functional peculiarities of parallel constructions used as one of the colorful expressive means in the poetic system of Buryat epic of Geser. Different types of syntactic constructions are used in the epos to convey its meaning and poetic expressiveness. The analysis is based on the Buryat version of epos «Abai Geser Bogdo khan» written from uligershin A.V. Vasilyev.
