Abstract: In the article it is offered the development of two modern approaches to the research of ancient text – lingvopersonological and communicative. For the analysis of historical linguistic personality it was taken the lists of five versions of one of the main Siberian chronicles – Esipovskoi. The problems of historical communicativistics are examined on the basis of the material of novgorodskii birch bark diplomas.
