Abstract: The article explores the poetics of space in the works of Alexey Ivanov (b. 1969). It is assumed that Ivanov as a prose writer possesses the feeling of space which is very close to that of a poet. This feeling determines his worldview and originates in the spatial reasoning of the Russian poets of the 20th century: A. Bely, O. Mandelstam and especially B. Pasternak.

Keywords: aleksey ivanov, boris pasternak, modern prose, art space, poetics of landscape
