Name: The modern online dictionary of dialect vocabulary

Abstract: The paper describes various forms (discourses, genres, styles) of the modern functioning of dialect words, recorded in the already compiled regional dictionaries of the Russian language. Sources for the study of this problem were the statistical and illustrative data of Runet, which represent this functioning of dialectal words. The paper sets a new approach to dialectal vocabulary, revealing its new, diachronically and synchronously conditioned forms of existence in the modern Russian language. At the same time the paper encourages the adjustment of some principles and techniques of lexicography as applied to dialectal vocabulary: the selection of vocabulary and the formation of illustrative material. The final part of the paper proposes a new type of dictionary that represents the dialectal vocabulary in its real modern functioning. The basis of the vocabulary entry is suggested to be a typology of discourses in where the dialect word is used in the Internet.
