Abstract: The author treats interdisciplinary approaches as potential bases for modern historical linguistic theories and their practical outputs (application). Several recent discoveries in non-linguistic fields, which have become especially significant for linguistics and its sister-sciences, are discussed in the article. New theoretical research and linguo-didactic problematic areas are recognized in the interdisciplinary aspects under discussion.
