Abstract: The motive of sacrifice is the basis of myth consciousness, ritual and also dramatic action. It’s important for Innokenty Annensky’s translations from Leconte de Lisle. Moreover, this motive functions in the own works of Annensky and confirms the need foreigner experience’s mastering and transforming in his poetry to master foreign experience and to transform it in his poetry.
