Abstract: The paper analyzes artistic images of everyday life in a literary narrative. Possible types of modelling everyday life are revealed in the world of fiction by comparing epic and lyric types of events. In the framework of the proposed approach study is made of the literary image of everyday life presented in the novel by Yury Polyakov “Mushroom King”.
