Abstract: The article observes the «Siberian children's magazine» (from July 1928 – the «Comrade») which had been published in Novosibirsk from 1928 to 1930. The magazine is considered in the context of the time of its creation and its relationship with children's magazines of Leningrad and Moscow and with the Novosibirsk literary magazine «The Present» («Nastoyaschee», 1928–1930). Particular analysis of first six issues of the journal (before the name had been changed) allows us to explore the «Siberian children's magazine» in the primary form. The main goal of this article is the description of the magazine’s structure, features of its design and content with the view of revealing «construction» signs and erasing boundaries between «literature» and «life», which is typical of the «literature of fact».
