Abstract: oneiric symbolism with the Acmeist poetics is revealed, as well as the functioning of acmeism traditions can be seen in terms of the existential attitude of the late G. Ivanov. Variations of oneiric states in émigré collections are determined: delirium, physical disorder, somnambulistic visions etc. Duality interpretation of the image, explained by two chronotopes, presented in his lyrics: St. Petersburg and the émigré, is determined. In the first one a dream symbolics is associated with ecphrasis as the organic feature of poetry of G. Ivanov, which manifests itself in the picturesque references to the works of his favorite artists. In the context of ecphrasic descriptions numerous literary allusions are appear, which in aggregate demonstrates Acmeist setups of the poet. In his late lyric a dream symbolics gets an existential interpretation, sleep is associated with physical illness and painful consciousness of émigré poet, experiencing an acute sense of nostalgia.
