Name: Some Aspects of Definite and Indefinite Multitude Interaction

Abstract: The article deals with the investigation of the basic concept QUANTITY and its structural components correlation. The human mind’s continual character as well as the absence of clear-cut boundaries and abundance of transition zones provides the opportunity for the representatives of ‘definite multitude’, namely numerals, to render the idea of ‘indefinite multitude’. Since the number as a means of QUANTITY representation is a universal form of results reflection in the human cognition, the reconstruction of certain aspects of ‘indefinite and definite multitudes’ interaction in contrastive dimension allows to single out additional universal sense-bearing components in the structure of the underlying concept of number in different linguocultural communities.
